Overview

The 'New & Returning Teachers full-day webinar has been developed specifically for recent teaching graduates and those re-familiarising themselves with teaching reading after time away from the classroom.

Teachers attending this professional learning will develop the knowledge to:

  • plan and implement high yield Shared, and Guided reading lessons
  • identify reading skills and strategies required to read a range of texts
  • plan mini lessons from data:
    • understand, administer, and analyse running records
    • explore ways to capture formative data
  • timetable for reading instruction, including lesson frequency, duration
  • utilise classroom helpers

You will gain knowledge of the very latest strategies used by literacy experts, that will make your teaching both powerful and efficient and can be confident your teaching practices align with the science of reading research.
